Ivalice...a land of magic, monsters, and adventure, lurking behind every corner.
On the outskirts of Muscadet, a young, violet-haired Viera Archer, took aim at a large Antillion, that had invaded. "Now...Where to hit it..." If to respond to her, a thick fog, tinted a light teal, plumed around her. Its familiar presence, seemingly known to only her, broke the silence around them. The spirit of a lost Summoner spoke.
"Take out its legs...render it immobile and it is easy prey."
The Archer nodded and began to take aim as the fog began to recoil, starting to form a standing figure. "Hey Eldena...How much do you think we'll get for a reward for this?" She smiled and let the arrow fly, stunning the giant, blue spider-creature.
"I cannot say. If we return the Antillion before Vili can get to it, it should be a large sum." The fog had become an ethereal figure, in the form of a dead Viera Summoner. This made the Archer pleased.
"Thats great!! Does that mean we don't have to follow the Brown Rabbits into the Materiwood?" The spirit chuckled, and the Archer's second arrow missed its target. "Crud!! I missed. Eldenaaaa...!" She began to whine. "We need to reloca-"
"Lucretia...look above..."
On command, Lucretia looked to the sky. It was if fear itself had come alive. A large object now blocked out the sun that had been shining down on them. Its words sent a chill down the Archer's spine. "Wh...what is that!?"
"They are not of Ivalice..."
Greetings, pathetic life forms. Your planet is now my planet. Some of you will die, and the rest of you will WISH you were dead. But I require entertainment, so I will take some people off your planet to transfer them to my location. Do not be jealous of them, they probably won't fare too well here either.
That was all she remembered of Ivalice before waking up on a cold, hard, metalic surface, aboard the Dictator's ship. "I can not help you here...this place is unfamiliar to me..." All Lucretia could do was nod to the voice inside her head.
The pair set off in search of someone who could better explain to them what had just happened, if only to find disappointment in the answer.
