No Sense

Anna wasn't sure where she'd gotten herself to. All that the Second in Command had told her was to go to the main deck. No directions, no nothing. In the unfamiliar territory, she was less aware with her other senses, like scent, and more in tune with her eyes and ears. She still carried her weaponry and her backpack, but she'd gotten lost. She had no sense of direction in this place.

...Until a chicken scurried by.

A chicken?...Are they common here? Almost without thinking, she instinctively shifted her form to that of a similar chicken. Though on her, instead of tags, there was a black, jeweled choker, and black feathers, with deep, blood-red eyes. She scurried deeper into the corridor, unsure of what she'd find.

Sic was stalking the halls, pretty pissed at how all of their chickens could get loose. Damn that kid. Fucking prick.

"Goddamn, cocksucking, fucker.....can't keep his hands off of PEOPLE'S SHIT." Sic snarled as they walked. Strangely though, they came upon a black chicken with red eyes. "What the fuck? Not one of MY chickens....." Sic picked it up anyway and snuggled the soft feathers. Oooh, DAMN cute animals...WHY did they have such a weakness for animals?!?!

Anna blinked. "Its you." Her tiny body squeaked out, without thinking. As he snuggled into her feathers, she felt missed, but realized he only thought she was a chicken. This was when she began to squirm, trying to get out of his grip.

Sic blinked when they heard the chicken talk, before dropping it like it was a hot potato.

"AAAHHHH DEMON CHICKEN!!" Sic yelled, grabbing a crucifix with a knife at the long end of it. Either on exorcism or a demon slaying, they were ready for either one.

Anna got dropped, and she yelped. "YEEE-OW!!" Then came the whining. "I'm not a demonnn." She flapped her feathered wings. "...Oh. I still-...oh..." She shifted her form back to normal. "Damn chicken...gave me the wrong idea." She grumbled.

Sic blinked, taking a few seconds before they remembered who the young girl was.

"Oh, Anna, its you. What's with you and turning into undeniably cute animals?" Sic asked boredly, putting away their crucifix-knife. Feeling very bored now that they weren't cuddling a chicken, they took out some knives and juggled them casually.

"An old friend taught me how to do it." Anna smiled from where she was sitting. "Sometimes it feels better as an animal...you see things differently." She turned one of his knives rainbow-colored and giggled slightly. "You're very good at that, you know?"

"Thanks." Sic said, although it was more instinct then actually being grateful for the compliment. Sic was hypnotizing themself slightly as they juggled the knives. They bopped their head as they followed the 'flow' of the knives. They smirked a bit when one of the knives turned into a rainbow color.

"What exactly can ya do and NOT do? Most vampires just...turn into a bat and shit yanno?" Sic asked, still juggling.

"I'm...a strange one." Anna said with a chuckle. "Partly genetically altered...I can go out in the daylight, but I can do this too~" A black mist began to form around her, and it eventually...grew a black arm? It stretched itself over to Sic and caught his knives between its fingers, 'pawing' at him as if they were cat-claws. Then the hand turned over to return them. The smile on Anna's face had slowly faded. Talking about her past, and what was her present....made her really sad.

Sic blinked as the black...thing grabbed their knives and pawed at them before returning them. Sic smirked as they grabbed them up and put them back in their cloak.

"That's amazin' man. I've never seen anything like it." Sic said, grinning toothily. Each tooth had been filed until they were each nice and pointy. Much more intimidating then normal teeth. Now, Sic had the people skills of a pole, so it took them a while to realize that Anna was sad. And seeing how Sic was pretty sociopathic, Sic wasn't sure if they cared or not.

Anna was one of the only people here other then Blue Guy and Diccy that they were on friendly-ish terms with like this though. Sic rolled their eyes before turning to Anna.

"Eeeh.....you...okay?" Sic asked, sounding somewhat uncomfortable asking her.

Anna half-smiled at the compliment. "It is pretty cool, I guess."

Had her face shown her sadness that easily? She looked up at Sic, hugging her knees to her chest. "...I...don't really know....but I won't bother you with my problems..." She felt very bad, for some reason. ...I'm completely alone... She thought with an even more depressed face. ...Totally...utterly...alone...

Sic shrugged to themself at the lack of a response. Ah well, they had tried, they needed credit for that. Maybe a free chance to torture some stupid bastard. Sic laid back, sprawled on the ground, looking up at the ceiling and counting the lines up there.

"Man I love this ship..." Sic said with a pleasant grin. Much better then the planet they and Diccy had come from.

"...You do?" Anna sat beside him, so she wouldn't have to raise her voice, even though they were alone in the hall. "I suppose...it is different for those here willingly." She rested her chin on her knees, thoughtfully. "...At least one of us can enjoy it." She said, with the world's tiniest smile.

"I'll enjoy it alright." Sic grinned sleepily. The hum and rumble of the ship underneath them, the counting of the lines on the ceiling...they were falling asleep. Being the Second in Command of the Nexus WAS a busy busy job after all~

Sic's eyes closed after a bit of fighting, and they stayed sprawled out as they slept. Most sensitive person in the world here folks.

Anna smiled a bit more as Sic'd fallen asleep. She would wait until they'd gotten up before trying to find her way around again. On maternal instinct, she hummed softly and rested a hand on his head, gently, so as not to wake them. She closed her own eyes and began to sing almost as softly as she had been humming.

"Hold down your head now,

Her voice was slow, far off-tempo, almost as if she was singing more of a lullaby. She changed songs, keeping the same tempo, as if it was the same one.

Sic kept sleeping as Anna sung, looking totally relaxed. The singing was only helping them sleep even more. They even began to snore a bit. This was the calmest they'd ever get EVER.

Sic curled up into a small ball, snuggling their arms as they slept.

Anna chuckled as Sic curled up. Didn't they know it was not a very good idea to sleep on the floor in a high-traffic area? Ah well. She would wake them if anything began to happen. It was strange. She felt much different being here then in her world. There was fear...sadness...anger...She felt much weaker here, but...She didn't hate it here. She'd met at least a couple of people she liked. Though that didn't say much...She'd lost her best friend to an alternate version, her family, everyone she'd known...besides Dragos, and apparently Lord Vaati. But even he didn't seem the same.
